The Pyramid of the Moon in Waterfall City was one of the two pyramids of the Waterfall City and loomed over the northwestern corner of the city, located near the greater Pyramid of the Sun.

Like its larger counterpart, the Pyramid of the Moon combined architecture from various cultures, including Egyptian, Mayan and Javenese, and celebrated the knowledge of the Sun and the mystery of the moon. The pyramids, completed in 862 AD, are the oldest remaining structures in the city. The great central tower at its peak is known as the Shrine of Mystery.[1]
