The Pyramid of the Sun in Waterfall City is one of the two pyramids of the Waterfall City and loomed over the northwestern corner of the city.[1]
The great Pyramid of the Sun and its smaller twin pyramid to its east are the oldest remaining structures in Waterfall City, completed in 862 AD. They combine architecture from various cultures, including Egyptian, Mayan, and Javenese, while celebrating the knowledge of the Sun and the mystery of the moon. Within the Pyramid is a three-dimensional labyrinth and at its peak stands two lesser towers, the Tower of Reason and the Tower of Peace, and a great central tower with great statues known as the Figures of Wisdom and the Celestial Dome at its very peak. This central tower also houses the Code of Dinotopia, inscribed on a massive stone tablet.[2]
